Pro-Type Printing was founded in 1980 by Robin Niewold. Pro-Type was a small in-home typing services, thus the name - PROfessional-Typing. Within one year of starting the typing serivce, Robin met Dave Watts of Paxton. Dave had a basement full of offset printing equipment that he had been using to print bulletins and newsletters for his church and books for missionaries. He was ready for a change and sold all of his equipment and supplies to Robin. The equipment was moved into the basement of the farmhouse where Robin and her husband, Jim, lived.

Pro-Type Printing grew slowly and steadily, moving from the basement to a newly constructed pole building near their home and finally to our current location on main street in downtown Paxton, IL.

Pro-Type Printing has grown and changed over the past 26 years. By focusing on the needs of our customers and utilizing the talents of our employees, we have grown and evolved into a full-service commercial offset and digital printing business. We provide convenient and effective solutions to our clients' design, copying and printing needs.
